NUHW-KP Rally - May 18th
Just a brief note...
The rally in front of LAMC was splendid! Easily a thousand members of the NUHW professional health care providers who serve Kaiser patients ranged up and down the sidewalk in front of the hospital. There were inspirational speakers, chanting, singing, and drums. There was street guerrilla theater which dramatized how much Kaiser leadership tries to make its professionals do more work, see more patients, and provide increasingly lower quality health care with less and less resources and money. What was so clear at the rally was the universal sentiment that we, the direct health care providers of Kaiser, demand a meaningful and robust voice in the patient care delivered at Kaiser. Nothing less is acceptable to these pros.
I'm running out of battery juice. Need to go to some coffee house and tank up! More later in a summary of the strike...
