LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) - Vice President Dick Cheney is scheduled to participate in a Republican rally on Saturday in Laramie.
Cheney spokesman Jamie Hennigan says the vice president will arrive in Laramie on Saturday morning and plans to travel to Washington that afternoon.
The Wyoming Republican Party is organizing the event, scheduled for 8:30 a.m. at Laramie High School.
U.S. Sens. Mike Enzi [Support Enzi's opponent, Chris Rothfuss] and John Barrasso [Support Barrasso's opponent, Nick Carter], both of whom are seeking re-election, and U.S. House candidate Cynthia Lummis [Support Lummis' opponent, Gary Trauner] are also scheduled to attend.
Wyoming GOP Chairwoman Diana Vaughan says state Republicans are "honored to have the vice president come here one more time in support of our candidates and support our GOP team that we will be sending back to Washington."
