KENT, OH -- About 100 protesters are gathered to demonstrate against President George W. Bush's fundraising event for state Sen. David Cappiello, R-Danbury, at Kent Center.
The protesters first gathered together this morning on the Warren Green at the intersection of Route 341 and Route 45.
The Warren location was roughly four and a half miles away from the event's location at the home of former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger.
Around 2:30 p.m., the protesters shifted their location from the Warren Green down to Kent Center, sending a caravan of more than 45 cars in a slow procession west on Route 341.
The caravan followed a car carrying a large red and white float, featuring a large missile being ridden by a effigy of President Bush with cowboy boots. The float was created by an organization called NotAnotherWar.org.
The procession took around 20 minutes.
Four trooper cars from the State Police followed the procession and are on the scene at the demonstration.
