Mike's Gift to Local Libraries

In our desperate economic times, libraries across the U.S. are under attack, facing huge budget cuts, reduced hours and even closures. To some, clearly, the very idea of libraries is something to be stamped out. (The government lets you borrow something for free? And it's a book, those things that are often filled with new ideas? That's un-American!)

That's why Mike wants to lend libraries a hand on the tour for his new book HERE COMES TROUBLE. At every appearance Mike will donate half of his royalties from books sold there to local libraries, and the bookstores running the events have all agreed to donate $1 from their sales price.

As Andrew Carnegie said, "There is not such a cradle of democracy upon the earth as the Free Public Library, this republic of letters, where neither rank, office, nor wealth receives the slightest consideration."
